About the Product:

File Type: Compressed zip. There is a link to the Google Drive templates in the file.

  1. Curriculum Outline: Start by taking a broad overview of your entire program. By the end of your curriculum, what concepts do you want your students to have covered? A sample Kodaly and Orff sequence are both included for reference.
  2. Song Lists: Choosing repertoire is perhaps the most important step of the process for music teachers, since our repertoire is our curriculum. A sample Kindergarten song list is included for reference.
  3. Scope and Sequence: A scope and sequence is your guide to what to teach, and when to teach it. It's helpful to think through how much time you can devote to one concept.
  4. Concept Plan: As you zoom in to look at individual musical concepts, you can get creative and artistic in your teaching strategies.  A sample second grade concept plan is included for reference. You can purchase the concept plan template separately as a PDF here
  5. Lesson Plans: Finally, it comes time to lesson plan! Look at things like teaching objectives, National Standards, assessments, and transitions. The sample lesson plan included uses teaching strategies from the sample second grade concept plan. You can purchase the lesson plan templates separately as PDF's here.
  6. Google Drive Info: This document has the link to the Google Drive templates, as well as useful info on how to edit them for your own teaching needs.

Enjoy!
